Wilwood big brake kits

Anyone running one of the Wilwood big brake kits? If so, how do you like them? There are two different kits available: The Street kit uses a slightly larger than stock rotor of 12.19" (front) with a smallish aluminum four piston booted caliper (small compared say to a Stoptech or Brembo caliper). The Competition kit uses a 13" rotor with a larger, forged aluminum four piston caliper. Either of the front kits will fit under my aftermarket 17" rims (ATS Comp Lites). Then there is a rear kit that can be used with either of the front kits that consists of a larger than stock rear rotor of 11.75" and uses the stock caliper and pad. I'd be interested in hearing of your experiences or thoughts with these kits, particulalry with repsect to the rear kit used in conjunction with the smaller Street kit. I plan on attending my first Driver's School with the MCS in March. The SoCal tracks I will be running on don't have a reputation for being particularly hard on brakes (Buttonwillow and Willow Springs big track), but I might eventually get north to Laguna Seca and Sears Point. Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me.

Did you paint them yourself? What size wheels are these? Did you need spacers? These BBK is the one I am thinking of getting.

B3 kit

I looked at the Wilwood kits but they won't fit my 17" wheels without spacers. I have BBS RKs. Instead, a couple days ago I ordered the 17" B3 kit (see the NAM Store), which has much better clearance. Fits my wheels and is cheaper.

You might want to check it out for another option...

I have the TCE Willwood fronts and rears. Ummmmm, they stop on a friggin dime. I love'm and would recommend them highly.
Can't use the fronts with the 17" S-lites, even with a 5mm spacer. I use Kosie K1s so it's not a problem. Got this setup through Webb Motorsports.
Installation was relatively easy. Not to mention that I lost about 5 lbs of rotaional wieght and about 13 lbs of unsprung weight
Below is what you get with the front / rear kit.
Also look at my below link to see more photos of them installed.

Onalsed: Your setup is the one I think I'm going to try. Have you used it at Driver's School? What pads are you using?

Not yet but plan to get a lot of track time this season.

Pads in the front are from TCE. Not really sure just what they are, but Todd or Randy Webb will know. Just got a new set of Mintex for the rear. I've been using the originals till now and I will say that stopping this car from high speed is awsome.

I want that setup so badly!!! I basically lost the STX championship this year because my brakes just couldn't handle the slowing down for the last corner of my last run at the last event while i was down by a tenth! The run was perfect till then!

I have to convince my GF that i need to use some tax return money towards these for my 05' MINI when it gets here!
