Dissing my Rims!!

I have the stock S-Lites on my New (4 days in my posession) Cooper S. But already my teenage friends are dissing my rims. I think they're great and kind of a throwback to the classic rims. Does anybody feel the same? Does anybody know of a wheel that is hip enough for the myself and the youth culture but still does keep to MINI's roots?

BBS RGRs.

I am getting the Bullets on my CR/CR, but in the future, I still might splurge for the RGRs.

Your teenage friends have not developed the taste you have . I would say do what you want not what they think . What do they drive? I think it may help to take a look at what they are rollin' in.

I love my s-lites/heavies. You get them powder coated a different color.

Mine will be Gloss black someday to go with the Dark Silver and Black top.

huh..I thought the S-Lites look real nice on the MINI's... If your 'friends'
are a sport compact crowd, throw on some SSR's or VOLKs....that'll
shut them up.

I love my S-lites. I will probably keep them and continue to use them even though I plan on by some aftermarket rims. I do like that they are a bit of a throw back to rims like the panasports.

Ah, the joys of peer pressure. Go with your gut. Few wheels are as well integrated with the overall design of a car then the S-lites on the new Mini, imho. They just look fabulous and are completely distinctive. They are, and always will be, the "proper" wheel for the Mini.

17" BBS RKs. Or just keep the rims you have and get new friends. It's cheaper.

Dude, to listen to people who know nothing (teenage friends) is not wise.

Those S-Lites are some of the prettiest wheels in the world, it's just a shame that they arent light. They are Genuine too, like everyone in this world should be.

First off, who cares what your friends like. If you like your S-lites, then stick with them. But if you want a change that stays closer to the MINI's roots, try some Panasports...

Plus, they weigh a lot less than the S-"lites".

NO, NO, NO!!!

Peer pressure is VERY real! The wheels are extremely ugly and grossly overweight! They do NOT belong on a MINI. I understand where your teenage friends are coming from!

Tell you what. I will take them off of your hands.

How about these:

This is a picture of Smileee's winter rubber complete with a set of baby Moons.

Say what you will we like them and that's all that counts.

Cheers,
Jack

Stock Wheels!?!?!

Great moons, Jack!

How can anyone give you s**t about stock wheels?!?!? If you put some stupid wheels on, then it's fair game, IMO...
Unless it's a stock set of cheese wheel covers, in which case i'd rather have the steel wheel showing instead...

and if I ever see another post from d6-mcs, it'll be too soon...
