In April, Kumho says they will release a 215/40/16 V710. That's what I'll be running.

No, just the stock wheel size. (16X6.5) You can put any tire that will fit the stock wheel. The offset of the wheel can be changed +/- a quarter of an inch.

I second that emotion:smile: , but since our local season begins in March, I'll be starting off on Hoosiers until the new Kumho and Avon sizes become available.

I’ve decided to go with the Falken Azenis in a 215 - 45 / 16. I can mount them on the MCS the day before and drive them to the track. It saves the hassle of lugging an extra set of wheels to the track. I’ve been told they should last me the entire season this way.

I think you should have no problem getting a whole season running Azenis at events only. I ran Azenis on a Miata on the street and autocrossing from May to October '04. Miata's aren't real hard on tires, but from my experience, no problem getting a season out of them if they are autoX only. (even if you drive to the events on them) STX?

Rataha,
I'm not sure of the price on the 215/40/16 but judging by the prices of other V710's I'd guess very close to $150 maybe less.

G-Stock. My pockets aren't that deep for STX.
