Just argue it's a safety modifcation. And don't do blue ones. Why wave a flag at them?

Todd what do you mean by double nutting and what is the alternative?

* I figure if you all get stud kits that you can fit small wheel spacers....then of course you'll want brakes to go with them! lol

Thanks, so the open S type just allows the thread to come through? As in a standard hex nut???

Put me down for the group buy as well.

As you can tell, I haven't looked into this very much, other than this thread.
From the 05 SCCA Rule Book, Section 13.4(http://www.scca.org/_filelibrary/File/2005SoloRules.pdf)

Wheels spacers are permitted, provided the resultant combination complies with the offset requirements of this section. Wheel Studs, Lug Nuts, and/ or Bolt Length may be changed.
So you can stay in the stock class with no issue.

It will let it through like a standard hex nut, but remember the bottom half is conical so that it seats the wheel properly, so you can't just put in a nut, and go.

You can use 2 standard 12x1.5 hex nuts, twist them on, and then tighten them together. Then you can use the top one to drive the stud in. Though this is not needed with our kit at it has an alen wrench socket on top for easy install.

Excellent. Put me down for a set! Now, what lug nuts to get. I've got Konig Heliums and I would prefer the closed end nuts, but I also want a locking nut and don't want to throw off the balance of the wheel. Suggestions?

What does it look like on the outside of the wheel? I have S-lites, V-spokes and Holies. Don't want something that stands out.

First to address the issue of security.

We have security Lugs available, but only available chrome Look.

They are $12 Extra, and are available in either the open style, or the closed style (Shown).

Second, Do the Konigs work with the stock bolts? If so, this kit will work, if not, there are other options.

Third, We do not provide Lock-tite because of shipping regulations. You can get it from any hardware store for a couple bucks. IT's good to have for any auto work you do though.

Tonto,

What do you mean about how does it look? The open style? I can get pictures if that is what you are wondering. That is how I have it on my car.

I am concerned about the color. The blue looks great with the EB MINI and the Kosei's with blue print, but I don't think they'd look good on my DS with stock wheels.

The closed end nut seems more aesthetically pleasing. Why would someone choose the open end nut?

Does this kit make wheel theft easier? Or is that a concern mostly for those that have upgraded to lighter more expensive wheels? I haven't had cause to be concerned about theft of my stock wheels. Should I be concerned with this conversion kit?

In my experience, the Chrome Lugs look great in all color Combinations. The other are for more specific applications as you listed.

The standard kits are no easier or harder to steal then the stock lugs. The security kit will make it harder to steal then the stock bolts.

The open version is used for 1 of two reasons. First weight, they are a bit lighter, second is clearence, if you want to run the stock Wheel Cap, then you require the open version.

What colors do you have available? You're speaking of a center cap such as what comes with the V-spokes?

On that lock set, are all of the lugs locking, or just 1 on each wheel? And yes, the stock bolts work on the Konigs.

There is 1 Locking Lug per wheel set, plus one extra lug, which you can use your when racing ect.

To every one that wants a set, use "LugNuts" on checkout, and you will get 25% off of the lugnut conversion Kit!

You can get it at sears, or any other hardware store. Because of FedEx regulations, I am unable to ship non organic liquids, and Loctite is restriced from this. I suggest the permatex brand Loctite in the red formula. If that is not available, just get the permanent strenght loctite brand.

Red is more for a permantent solution, good for high number of install, and removal of wheels. The blue is not as strong, and may come loose when removing the lugs.
