225/40/18 & 215/35/18

Im currently running on Pirelli Nero 215/35/18, and Im planning swap it out for Dunlop super sport race 225/40/18. Im running on coilover and 18x7.5 +45 offset, do you guys think it will rub?

In the back, when loaded full, and you hit a bump. a tad of dremel work will clear it up.

Alex,

Could you please give us the range of offsets that would work when using the 225/40/18.

I understand that the plastic will need to be trimmed in the back

thanks, a fellow wheel guy

So it only happens when fully loaded?? He also stated that he is lowered, I am lowered on H&R Springs, should that make any difference?

I am asking because I plan on getting some 18s in the spring time, and I would like to use 225/40-18s

How about 225/35/18 Pilot sport 2? Will they rub since the sidewall is much taller than other tires?

225's are wider than I can promise or guarantee to fit, reguardless of offset. When I have seen 225's under 24.0 diameter theyn usually only rub a small amount. at 23.0 no rub at all. I am not making any claims on what 225's work, they are wider that I can guaratee trouble free fitments.
