Can anyone tell me what wheel stud conversion kit I would need for my 2008 R52 JCW. I just bought a set of OZ racing wheels and I was thinking of doing the conversion instead of buying black lug bolts. Is it worth doing and who is the best place to get them from. Thanks for any help. These are the wheels.
I got my set from ECS Tuning...they've done all the homework already so easy to figure out....esp if your running wheel spacers...
Just put in the info on your MINI and go to the wheels section.

I was on a chat with ECS but when I put R52 and he asked if it was a couple or convertible I got nervous. Plus being an 08 but actually a first gen gets confusing sometimes.

When and if it comes time to remove the studs, say if installing new wheel bearing....use two on one spline tighten them up against each other, then put the wrench on inner nut to back it out....This explains the technique for all studs on a car but you get the idea.
Thanks Way. One more thing I'll be doing when I get the car back from you. What nuts would I use. I'm not running spacers and dont know if I'll like the look of the studs sticking way out of the nuts.

I have two sets of wheels. My Konig track wheels needed to be drilled ever so slightly from 13.3mm to 14mm and they are still snug. They also take a centering ring. I don't plan on purchasing new wheels any time soon but I've heard most aftermarket wheels are easier to mount with M12 studs because they may need to be drilled for M14? Is that correct?
Questions: ECSTuning... The wheel stud kits do not say M12 or M14???
****EDIT: It actually does say on the KIT CONTENTS tab.
If I add an 8mm spacer then my centering ring for the Konig wheels will have nothing to sit on? I should go measure but my assumption here is that an 8mm spacer will still allow me to us the centering ring????
A lot of aftermarket wheels do seem to be drilled too small for the 14 mm studs. I've been running the WMW M14 to M12 conversion studs for a few years for that exact reason. They have a bit of surface rust, but otherwise they seem to be holding up fine. I'll probably swap them for studs with a different finish sometime soon-ish. Unfortunately, I can't answer any of your other questions. I don't run spacers or track my car.
