Wheel locks?

I FINALLY purchased a set of wheels for my Mini! It's a pre-order for the 4th gen 949 racing 6ul in bronze coming out mid-october.

I'll be getting this stud conversion kit from Way:

http://www.waymotorworks.com/m14-to-...rsion-kit.html

949 racing lugs:

http://949racing.com/forged-alloy-lugs-black-12x15.aspx

and Eurasia Black Top Wheel Locks:

My only concern is that the lugs will stick out too much and a crook will easily remove the wheel locks. The wheel lug areas don't exactly "sink" in like regular wheels so the lugs stick out quite a bit:

Are there any wheel locks that you guys use? I heard Gorilla is great but would like to keep all lugs 949 racing

Any help would be appreciated

Wheel locks might make you feel better but they are a waste of time and money.
I'm just an average wrench and I can defeat any wheel lock I have ever seen with two simple methods:
Hammer on a socket and turn the wheel lock off like a normal lug nut, or
Use a hammered on socket to over tighten and snap the lug nut stud.

Both methods only take a couple of minutes and that is what any thief is looking for.

Some may disagree but I think most will agree.

I agree with above. Going out and stealing a set of wheels is a deliberate act not really a crime of "passion". The thieves will bring tools with them to defeat most locks. If they want your wheels, they will take them.

True.

Locks only kept honest people honest, that's why the lockers at the Police Station have locks...

Motor on!

I personally wouldn't worry too much about wheel locks. However those are some pretty interesting looking wheel locks. IDK if the other people in the thread have actually looked at that ECS page but it doesn't look like these wheel locks you could really twist on or off. It seem like they would do a pretty good job if a wheel lock would make you feel better.

I guess if you applied enough force you could probably get them off. But it'd be an interesting test to see if they will come off with the normal methods for removing wheel locks.
