The Toyo is generally regarded as a Max performance tire, whereas the Parada2 is a step down in the hierarchy. You'll probably see that in the pricing too.

I've had the 16" Parada Spec2s for about a year now. No complaints. Mind you, I'm not a track racer. But on the streets as cornering, high speed comfort, stability, handling and such goes, they rock. I haven't tried the Toyos, so I can't really compare them personally. They have a great tire wear rating too, providing that you treat them right.
Cheers,

I fully agree - have had several sets of each. the TOYO is far superior to the YOKO . . . costs a bit more and does not last quite as long. But then again, what are tires for on a sports car?

In what size? For what use? Street, autocross or track?

If for 17" mostly street then I would pick:
215/45-17 Toyo T1-S for very good handling, light weight, and less road noise than the Parada Spec-2 (a more common choice in 215/35-18)

The Spec-2 tread does look aggressive

Aren't the T1-Rs the latest & greatest from Toyo?

If your looking at Parada's, consider the sister tire AVS ES 100 too. These seem like everybody's favorite tire. Mine were great too.

For my next tire, I'm leaning towards the T1S too, especially now since they've ceased making 'em (replaced by the T1R) they're cheap.

hehe, reviving old threads are great fun.

i have the T1-Rs, they are pretty good, but not great, well they are good enough for me, I have to go in corners pretty darn fast to make them squeak. car and driver did a tire test with all the big name sport tires and the T1-Rs did not hold up to the competition. you should look that article up.

Car & Driver article: http://www.caranddriver.com/features...the-tread.html

EDIT: just purchased a set of the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3s in 225/50/16... for $98/each (regular price $148!) as I've only got about 4000 miles left on my set of T1-Ss. Tirerack is having a special in certain sizes.
