Wheel help!
Wheel help!
First, I'd like to apologize if this has been covered before. I tried looking it up but came up short. I have a 2012 JWC and wanted a set for the summer and was thinking between the STR 514 18x8.5 +30 offset or the Work VS-xx 18x7.5
Would any of these two fit the car? Thanks for the help in advance.
Here's my car as it looks now

Here is the STR in question

I am running a 17x 7.5 with a 35ET wheel and on big dips the rear wheels rub a bit...
STR 514 in 18x8.5 et 30 compared to OEM 17x7" et48 wheels will be-

1mm closer to inner suspension
poke out 37.1mm more which is a lot
Use either tire size-
215/40-18
245/35-18

The 17x8.5 et30 is going to be really tough to fit.
There are tons of options for wheels that fit the JCW. Do some research.

It really depends on what your priorities are-
Will it be for looks?
Will it be for daily driving?
How bad are your roads?
If your roads are good then you can go with 35 or 40 series sidewall tires, they are generally stiff riding and risk damage from any potholes.
For 17" rims look for 4x100 bolt pattern, 17x7" offset of about 42 to 45mm unless you want an aggressive flush look, then up to about 35-37mm offset.
Tire should be 215/45-17 to fill out the wheel well for JCW suspension and give 45 series sidewall for comfort without loosing good handling. In that size you have many good Max Summer or Ultra High Perf. All Season tires to choose from in a variety of prices.
