Offset/fitment help

Hey guys I'm looking at rims for an f56 and I found some and they seem like they'll fit from what little knowledge I've gathered about sizing and whatnot but why is scaring me is the offset: +20. I've been reading up on fwd vs rwd offsets and how they affect suspension, stress, and handling. I don't know what to think, or how this plays a role? I need thoughts, suggestions, and help!

Thanks guys

List the specs for the wheels you are considering.

Should be wheels that are 5x112 typically with these offsets.

16x7" with 40-45mm offset
17x7.5" 47-50mm offset
18x7.5" 45-53mm offset

When you use an offset of 20mm you place the wheel 20-30mm more outward than OEM which is aggressive.

Just depends on what your after. I have +37 on my r57 and they are flush. So anything lower will stick out. +20 is going to be outside a good bit. If your running stock height may not rub but if your going to lower it I am sure that it will

Size Bolt Pattern Offset Center Bore Lip Size » 16x8 4x100 20 57.1 2.0" » 16x8 5x100 20 67.1 2.0" » 16x9 4x100 15 57.1 3.0" » 16x9 5x100 15 67.1 3.0" But I'll have the bolt pattern custom ordered to fit 5x112. I'm not really looking for it to stick out or anything special I just like the rims and don't want to ruin the suspension on my car because of the low offset :/ do you think I can change the dishes on the rim to change the offset? Is that an option? (Stock height)

If you can custom order the bolt pattern then just give the wheel company the OEM specs for the MINI you are ordering and they can custom fit the offset and make the hubbore for the MINI.

You are basically looking at 16x8" et20 and 16x9" et15. If the 16x8" can be made with et 30mm the new wheel would be 2.7mm closer to the inner suspension and 22.7mm wider than a 16x7 et 40 wheel.

Unfortunately they do not work with custom fitment... So I guess I have to look for other rims. I'm looking for a bbs rs type mesh wheel. Please let me know what alternatives are out there!

Be flexible, and keep an eye out for stock 56.1mm diameter and near-OEM offsets:
wheel offset 61/2JX16 ET:48 7JX17 ET:48 7JX18 ET:52

If you are on a budget, start here: www.tirerack.com
