5 lug bolt pattern for 2014 Mini hardtop & S

Does any one know what the new bolt pattern is for the 2014 Mini?
I have tried 4x100...5x114.3.....5x120...non of these fit. I have checked almost everywhere and all MFGs say it's 4x100mm. Old news.....

The 2014 Mini is all what they say....big improvement over my older 2002.

It is 5x120. Maybe the center bore on your wheel is too small? The hub size is 72.5mm, i think.

Hub size is 68 and 120mm is too large. they have a new bolt pattern for the new Mini I just don't know what the exact mm is. I put a mic. on it and came up with 114mm. tried a wheel at 114.3mm and did not fit.

None of those wheels are 5x120 (aside from the stock wheel)... which 5x120 wheel did you try?

After doing some digging in a few German forums, it appears BMW has chosen 5x112 for the F56 bolt battern. (Source: BMW Munich HQ) I dont know why BMW would chose the Audi/Merc/VW pattern over their own. Mind Blown.

If this is true, then it opens up even more after-market wheel choices.

Thanks, you are the first person who makes some kind of a logical solution. I have tried all the other bolt patterns from 5x108 to 5x120.
From what I've seen 112mm is closest to what I measured. I will see what I can find in 5x112. Looking for 15x8 +12 offset 5.25" backspace
205x55r 15 tire. this is what I ran on my 2002 Mini.

That would be ridiculous. I can't even imagine what could possess them to do that?

What do the specs say on the back of your stock wheels? Most of the time the PCD will be stamped along with the wheel size and offset

Thanks I will check that out when I get my car back. Drove it for 2 days and Mini called it back. Oil cooling recall.

Ah that sucks. Maybe we can bribe someone else into looking in the meantime.

I'm not trying to call you a liar, I just have a hard time accepting that BMW would change the PCD from all of their other models (including the Countryman and Paceman). It just defies all logic.

This is vitally important as I was just about to pick up a set of OEM BMW wheels for mine this weekend (still in production). I don't want to waste the money if it won't fit anyway.

Yes that is what I did. I got my wheels before my Mini was delivered. And to my supprize you see the picture at the top. I beleive they only changed the hardtop and S. Now I have 2 sets of wheels I cannot use.

He measured it at 5x112 too but he doesn't have any official documentation proving that's exactly what it is. If that's the case, that opens up about a billion options for us.

Mercedes
VW
Audi

Plus I think you can run anything that is 5x114.3 with some wobble bolts if I remember right.

Thanks you are right. Never heard of wobble bolts before. Ordered wobble bolts, will see if the work on a wheel with a 5x114.3 dolt pattern.

They're meant to offset slight differences in PCD. I'm not sure exactly how they work, I've never used them myself.

He's trying to confirm 100% that it is 5x112, measuring PCD is kind of iffy. He said the stock wheels are definitely not stamped.

This is blowing my mind. I wonder what the hub bore is? If it's 72mm like a BMW that's going to really mess with our options.

Looks like 5x112mm bolt pattern is the winner. ordered wheels with a 114.3
pattern and some wobble bolt designed to convert 5x114.3 to 5x112.

Stay tuned I'll send pictures. Should install this week.

The lug pattern has been confirmed as 5x112, 66.5 bore.

Motoring Magic got NM Engineering to confirm from their F56. It's exactly 5x112/66.5 bore.
Now, those who are awaiting delivery can shop wheels ahead. Stock has et54. Not sure how low the offset could go. NM will surely come out w/ F56 line of wheels. They'd know the offset range w/ the camber in spec.

Do not order wobble bolts. They do not work. 14mm thread yes but it is a course thread and will not fit the Mini. Mini uses a fine thread. $90.00 shot.

How much do they weigh?

What are you going to use for tires? Any track or driving school?

tires

Tires like I had on my 2002 Mini.... 205/55 R15...... weight 19lbs. kind of heavy. but this is all I could come up with in a 15x8. lots of choices for the old 4 bolt pattern but hard to find anything with 5-112mm.
track time with my TR....lots of tracks up and down the east coast. schooled at Summit Point...was that your question?

Good time to revisit this thread. I had a nice set of BMW rims I was going to use for winter tires. Got to the tire shop and the tech just looked at them and said they won't work. He then showed me the reference chart for rims and car and there it was, spacing was 112mm and NOT 120mm. I really did think that the Hardtop would be the same as other 5 bolt MINI/BMW products (CM,PM) but alas it's not. On the plus side, there are a now plenty of choices for rims.

Was that an offset of 25?!
