Wow that is crazy... if I had time I'd go down to the dealer and just measure it real quick with a set of calipers.

Would the lug information be on the door frame? In the Owner's Handbook?

The info should be cast into the back of the wheel.
It is for most wheels.
Gotta take the wheel off, though to see.
Amazing that this isn't published yet.

What if someone stole your wheels? It must be somewhere!

is this really accurate? I don't want to believe a BMW developed car is switching to a VAG/MB bolt pattern. Especially since Apex Race Parts has a set of 17x8.5 wheels that weigh 17.2 lbs each in 5x120 et 40 or 42.

So 5x112/66.5 bore is the wheel size on the new F56?

It is GOOD news!

5x112 is a popular bolt pattern with a large selection of aftermarket wheels.

Along the same lines, will the Enkei wheels I have on my R56 work? They are 16" and I plan to get 16s on the new car. I think they are RPF1 but I bought them from a friend off HIS R56, so I'm not sure. Sorry, I don't know all the dimensions and technical stuff, but are they likely to work?

No.

R56 = 4 lug
F56 = 5 lug

Not at all. 4 bolts vs 5 bolts.

But on the plus side, we have a lot more options for RPF1s in the new bolt pattern if you're not afraid of wobble bolts.

Bummer. Guess I'll have to sell them separately (still have the stock wheels).

Yup, Motoring Magic got NM Engineering to confirm from their F56. It's exactly 5x112/66.5 bore.
Now, those who are awaiting delivery can shop wheels ahead. Stock has et54. Not sure how low the offset could go. NM will surely come out w/ F56 line of wheels. They'd know the offset range w/ the camber in spec.

Since tirerack.com and other sites don't yet have the F56 Mini wheel and tire sizes loaded yet, should we use the 2008 Audi A4 FWD stats when searching for new wheels?

That will probably work. Tire rack is pretty conservative about their fitment ideas so even though the Audi probably has larger stock wheels anything that they say will fit it will probably fit an F56.

We don't know anything about offsets for the F56 though, and the suspension is completely different, so there is a caveat. We won't actually know until people start bolting wheels up.

Heads up, Audi wheels are ball seat bolts, BMW/Mini are cone shaped.

They're listed on RealOEM:
ET46 for 15" wheels
ET54 for 16", 17" and 18" wheels

YES! Good point!

AND not all Audi wheels, just the late model '08~up will work as the older cars came with 57.1mm hub bore.

Just use the Audi ball seat bolts. Make sure they're M14x1.25.
The gen1s pull off 15s very well. I think they'd look odd on the F56.
