Cracked Team Dynamics Pro Race 1's

So I noticed a slow leak on my rims (Team Dynamics Pro Race 1's, in black) and I pulled it off my MINI to see if i could find a nail or something, and found a crack on the inside lip of the rim. I had cracked it once a year or so ago and had it repaired, ant it seems the repair failed.
Team Dynamics no longer makes the 1's anymore so I got a set of used ASA AR2's from a friend for cheap. I figured i could sell the old set at a discount, but upon pulling them off, they all were developing at least one crack on the inside lip.
I dont know what to do with the rims now, does anyone think they are salvagable? Or are they merely worth their weight in scrap aluminum?

For safety sake I would scrap them or make a really cool table.

Just curious to know what TD would say or do about it.

TD sent me a replacement when I cracked one of the spokes. That was a while ago when they still made the 1s. I had them send me a SM wheel and gave it to a track bud running SM.

I junked the other three - no way I would drive on those anymore, or sell them on. They are an accident waiting to happen.

Probably not worth fixing and likely weak and prone to damage from street use (bumps and potholes).

If you did run them and hit a curb or pothole you could crack off part of the wheel and damage more of the suspension or get in a bad accident.

Not sure but it seems the TD Pro Race 1.2 is "cast" alloy.

TD's site claims it also does forged wheels.

I would suspect they are gravity cast (given the price). Being light weight and cast they aren't likely to be very strong.

I am currently in contact with someone at Team Dynamics. They seemed perplexed that all 4 had developed cracks. I have already replaced the rims with non Team Dynamics rims, but I still have the old ones. Im sure its for their personal knowledge. I don't anticipate any replacements/compensation for any reason.

I was happy with them while they lasted. Now they'll make a great wall clock/bar stool/coffee table. I haven't decided yet

What size were they? I know Gnaster had a set of 17s where the wheel separated in two while on the track. The hub and a little bit of the spokes were on the car, the rest of the rim came completely off.

I have a set of 15x7 Pro Race 1s for my track days. These threads make me nervous, but they were the only 15" wheels that would clear my brakes and that I could get a 225 on.

They were 17's. To be fair they were on the car for several years but that doesnt mean they should be starting to develop hairline cracks.

I cracked the 15 x7 TD1s. You should be nervous, and check the fronts after every session.
