There is always a compromise. Runflats ride like crap because they have a super stiff side-wall that's literally capable of holding the weight of the car. However the super stiff side-wall pays dividends when cornering and makes turn in a lot sharper. When you switched tires not only did you go from RF's to regular tires, you also bought A/S tires that most likely have a softer side-wall for comfort because they don't give priority to crisp-turn in. I don't think any non RF tire would be as crisp in the corners, especially not an A/S. I think you'll get used to them like I did my regular tires.

If you end up hating them, you can either go back to run-flats or get 17's in place of 16's so the side-wall will be shorter and thus flex less and be more crisp.
