Finally anchored the weight-laden 18" JCW wheels on the car. The rims are wearing non-runflat Toyo Proxes 4 (205/40ZR18) all-season performance tires. Total cost of the tires, wheels, and installation comes just under 2G.

For those who are interested in the JCW wheels, the retro-fit kit that prevents tire rubbing may not be necessary. Even though the wheels were installed without the kit on my car, no rubbing noted during the high-speed donuts test on an empty parking lot.

Here are some pictures of the wheels on the car.

The official weight of the 18" JCW wheeel is 23 lb, somewhat lighter than the 17" R90 and the 17" R85 wheels. But still a bit on the heavy side, though!

What kind of brake kit is on the car, or are those just painted calipers and drilled/slotted discs?

Wheels look great.

No need to worry about brake dust. The dust dissapates in the air before it reaches all the way out to the rim.

They are Zimmerman (made in Germany) drilled/slotted rotors with painted OEM calipers and painted Mintex brake pads.

Just picked up the car last Saturday. I'll have the windows tinted and a clear bra installed this weekend.

I've heard rumors about Indi Blue being phased out. I've only wanted Indi Blue from the get-go. I've been waiting a year(!) here in California to get my hands on the car and I didn't want to pay more than MSRP so that I could add all the goodies instead...

Here is one of my favorite mods:
BMP Gauges

Congrats on the new car! Luv the blue!

Did you get the JCW doorsills? Also, another upgrade to consider is the JCW steering wheel emblem.

Blue is where it's at!

I opted not to paint the arches but your car looks great!

I went with a plain white sunroof cover. Couldn't make up my mind if I wanted something more substantial on the roof...

Have the JCW door sill but don't have a JCW steering wheel emblem. I read in a thread here or on Mini2 that the JCW keychain is used to rig a JCW steering emblem. Did you do that to your ride?

Both your two IB/W MCS with Works everything look great.
I got to see the JCW wheels up close and they are quite nice.
Our dealership just got an EB/EB MCS with sunroof, JCW kit and Works wheelset for a carshow this weekend.
Looks good.

What will you do when MINI discontinues the Indiblue color!

What kind of tires are on those JCWs? Are they runflats?
