Best 215/45/16?

Looking to get a set of 215/45/16 tires this winter, i was looking into falken azenis but it rains a good amount in south carolina, also looked into the Yokohama A022, anyone running the yokohomas?

215/45/16 is an extremely limited size. The best I could offer would be Bridgestone RE040, but they are pricey.

I'd suggest not using A022 they are a very specialized tire for the 1st gen NSX. They are both asymmetric AND directional. Each side has specific differences, to match the NSX's asymmetric suspension.

205/45 or 205/50 would offer a better selection to pick from.

Nice looking "beefy" tire, but that's all I can say about it. Treadlife is abysmal and cost is outrageous!! Besides it's an exclusive Summer Tire.

and it's 205/45/16 (not 215/45/16) which makes it pretty darn short (23.2").

ill be running the new tires all year, never really is a winter in charleston, i may end up going down to a 205 for more options cause i really want a summer tire that can last long for a performance tire, im running a new set of 205/45/17 yokohoma s drives at the moment but i feel like they are wearing down to fast

I'm confused why you're changing from 205/45/17 to 215/45/16.
Are you changing to 16" wheels, or was the 215/45/16 a typo in the original post?

Just curious do you really know what the "actual" size of these tires are...like have you checked a Tire Calculator??

I'd go for 205/50/16 (lots of choices - good diameter) or 205/55/16 (lots of choices, but a little tall - caution with lowered vehicles)
or 215/50/16 (only a few choices - good diameter) or 215/45/16 (only a few choices, but a little short)
in that order of preference.
