I dealt with Mike and Kristin Potter at Parts4VWs on many occasions when I was modding my Jetta. They are very friendly and knowledgeable. They are a great couple and the business has been growing significantly (first time I met Mike, I went over to his house to pick up a Bentley Manual. The last time I saw them they had moved into a warehouse in an industrial park.
Woohoo! Thanks for the tip. I bought lots of stuff from them for my old Passat wagon. Didn't realize they had any stuff for the MINI. Just ordered pads
Gotta agree with DiD, the M&M's included with the orders were always a nice touch!
This is off topic. Jerseygril, your painted interior inspired me to do the same on my IB/W MCS. In addition to the dash, the oval portions of the door panels are painted as well. I absolutely love it!
I ran them on my 2.0 liter Jetta and currently have them on my VR6. The do increase stopping power and reduce some of the brake dust. You only have to wipe the wheels down every other day as opposed to every day.
Mintex have slightly better bite, but hardly noticeable. EBC pads have great initial bite, but tend to warp stock rotors. Dust output I've found to be around the same for both, much less than stock.
Mine arrived with the Almond M&Ms. Nice touch. I've used Mintex "red" pads on my Audi for years. They greatly reduce the dust and have stopping power at least as good as stock. I'm expecting the same for my MCS.
Just add cautions for those who live in hawaii, you think you getting a good deal $15-20 savings
but think of shipping i'll cost us $28.00 via UPS (they don't use USPS). When I ordered mine I was told $8.00
to shipped but when the total bills arrived it turns out $28.00 . I emailed them with the copy of the estimates but they never respond.
