None...why, do you need wheel spacers and want to know a maximum "safe" thickness?

IMO I do not like them and honestly I will leave it at that. I can see this thread going just as good as the ones that discuss oil change intervals, choice of oil, what octane people run, HID kits, etc. It is my personal preference ot not see spacers and if you want that kind of offset I would buy a wheel with that already engineering and designed into it and not just sandwiching a spacer between the car and wheel.

I would not do more than 15mm, but people here do insane spacers. I do not want to replace hubs and plus I always hit berms, dirt and stuff. I got 5mm cause my 225 width tire rubs on the inside. I would consider MINI-Madness' 7mm and Coopersport's 10mm spacers.

I measured the distance on mine and its 'bout 1/4". Would that be good for 5mm? It wont need any extension or somthing for the nuts to be tight enough and safe right? Hey how 'bout som pichas of the difference on ur car, yeah?
thanks!

5mm is close to 1/4th inch anything bigger you will need longer lugs.

I think most any Mini look better with spacers, if not too thick, but be carful that your not going to rub, that is if you have lowered your car. I like 15mm and would go with Eibach, they are excelent quality and they make the kind that has the threaded studs made into the spacer (sometimes called wheel addapter) much stronger and it makes it much easier to change a wheel for whatever reason, but you will need new lug nuts. Ebach will cost a little more, but I think they are worth it..

Depends on what wheels and tires you have on the car. Do you have stock Mini wheels or some type of aftermarket wheels? Do you know the size of the wheels on your car; diameter (such as 17"), width (such as 7") and offset (such as 45mm) of the wheels? What size are your tires? Is you car stock height or lowered? If lowered, how much?

On my 2006 MCS, I have 18x7 wheels with 52mm offset. I use 215/40-18 tires. I have JCW suspension so lowered about 5/8". I have 15mm spaces all the way around. I had slight rubbing on the rear wheel arch until I tirmed the plastic a little to make clearance.

Instead of longer lug bolts, I switched to studs and lug nuts.

Samicta: Here's a link to some 16mm spacers w/bolts....

http://www.promini.com/product-exec/...arch_model/100

I've got these on my '07 MCS and like the wheel wells filled out...no problems after 20K miles with them on...

I went out and did some mesuring on my wheels and fenders, I am planing on addding 15mm spacers. My only concern is rubbing, mesuring from the very top outside edge of the tire (back wheel), I have 25mm and almost an inch gap from top of tire to the bottom of the fender. In the front I have 20mm from top outside edge of tire to inside of fender and a full inch gap up and down. Plus I have a very firm suspension (sport springs) so I think I will be fine. You folks with spacers agree?? I am running 17'' Mini wheels and stock mini tires. Its a 2011 Mini S.

bugman58: Stock suspension w/sport factory option, 16mm spacers. I run 3 different sets of stock MINI wheels. Crown Spokes w/205/45/17, S Winders w/205/50/16 and Flame Spokes w/215/45/17. None of them rub or cut the sidewalls...don't often have more than me in the car. On occasion I have 1 other person in the car and travelling gear...still no clearance problems. It may be a problem if you put 4 people in the car but I never do that. By the way the stock springs (or any really) will settle with time....mine has settled about 3/4 - 1 inch since new...it's a '07 MCS w/45K miles.

very good to know, thanks!! with what your saying I think I should be fine, cool!! but your right springs do settle with time, but if the car comes down too much and begins to rub I could always just take the spacers off.... when you first put your spacers on were you happy with how it looked? I don't remember the name of my 17's but they are the ones Mini sales now that are black and have the silver rims.

bugman58: I have liked the look of the wheel wells filled up since I first installed the spacers. At 4+ years old and 45K miles I don't think my springs are going to settle any more and they are fine with the load situations I described. Good luck and post some photos when you get the spacers installed.

The 15mm and 20mm are designed the same. I'll get them up soon.
