I know this thread has nearly died off, but will the 15x7 with 25 or 35 offset, fit my '11 non-stop without rubbing, spacers, etc... I know most are running 17's and some 16's but I didn't see any 15's.
My car is completely stock with standard suspension but I do plan to get some lowering springs

Rota rb 15"

I don't believe they sell the wheels in a 15"...16" and 17" only. Go fo the 16" wheels although you will need to purchase new tires.

Just called him. Thanks. Unfortunately 15's won't clear the calipers without spacers

Why, don't you like using spacers?

The only tire shop near me is discount tires and when I had my 57 oval vw with spacers, they refused to even touch it (or any car with spacers for liability reasons) so I've been kind of turned off since

I too wanted the 15" Rotas however decided on the 16" and honestly they are excellent! I also put massive tires on recently to give it an incredible look and driving experience.

Yes, 225/50/16 tires fit but with a little modification.

I have gotten so many positive responses about these wheels and have no regrets. Wish they would make them to fit theeh 3Gen MINIs.

I am sure you have had many positive comments on the wheels, I love mine, they are strong and true, the gunmetal colour paint has held up wonderfully, but the chrome on the rim has blistered and peeled. I do not understand why, but that is a disappointing factor to me.

Regards

^ well they are Rotas. Any wheel shop can refinish them for you. I have had mine since 2012 and it's time for a refinish as well. I may post before/after.

Since the wheels are aluminum, not chrome, what you are seeing peeling is the factory plastic coating that is applied to keep the aluminum shiny . Mine came off where brake dust ate through the plastic.

You can fix this several ways. Since I only had one wheel that was bad, I used aircraft paint stripper and brush it on the rims , not the spokes and it will eat off the plastic coat. Then use sand paper and start sanding the rims. You can search you tube on how to polish aluminum wheels and make them look like chrome. Once you have done this, you will need to wax the rims. This will need to be done yearly as, road salt and stuff will attack the aluminum and dull it.

So I would like to see an update from the owners of Rota RB wheels:

Is the clear coat still peeling or has Rota finally fixed the problem ? ? ?

I see the RB is still available and for very good prices !

F56 version of RB Wheels?

I had a set of the RB wheels for my 2009 R57 and loved them...they received a lot of positive comments. Now that I have a 2014 F56 S, I wish Rota would have a version of the RB wheels for the Gen3...

It was actually Watanabe who copied Minilite!

The Minilite design dates to 1962:

For anyone interested in this style of wheel,
I did a small survey of minilite-style wheels available for modern MINIs,
here:
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ite-wheel.html

I finally got around to mounting some 16x7 RB's on my car,
pardon the lousy pix:

Had some custom center cap emblems made too,
which are 43mm if anyone is curious.

Thanks you much!! Not sure how I missed that or maybe thought they could’ve been the Hyper Black.

I love the deepdish look of the RBR.

Seen 'em fitted to several different R53's.

I can only find them in 16x8 with a 10 offset.

Anybody know if they're available in larger offset?

Obviously a few people made these work, but is it a sacrifice of handling quality for aesthetic appearance?

Are 8" wheels pretty much guaranteed to rub even if spacers are used?

Would such a fitment imperil a driver who loves bombing undulating mountain roads?

Oldboy Speedwell- what’s the situation with the extra long lugs? I’ve never seen that before.
