These are 295/50/15. I've just put my friend's 205/50's on my 15x10's and I hate that look. Would the 295/50's fit on my 15x10" rim(s)?

BFG Drags 325/50/15 go for it a.
Back in the day (80's) Lambos used Pirelli P7's in 345/35/VR15
I would prefer 15x8 on 225/45-15 for me.

EDIT: Just put spacers on today (09/09/10)
1¼" Spacers

Bump...for what? To answer the question "Is this too wide?"...
Brutal but honest opinion is yes...by at least four inches.
But then again, I'm a fan of tires and wheels being flush to the fender line, from eurotuners to old iron sled rods....guess it's all in personal taste.

Definitely not increasing traction since you still have skinny tires- You must really love torque steer...

WOW.... I have never seen wheels like that on mini...
i would be very worried about damaging body work with wheels that wide... not to mention performance and economy kinda sucks with heavy, wider wheels and tires with a lot more rolling friction

Thats the 80's Mexican Euro LowRider Style from back in the day. Don't see them often like that except the occasional border brother with cowboy hat driving older relics of the 80's like that. I had an 89 Mustang GT Convertible with Gold 100 Spoke Daytons with an outragous offset like that. Unfortunatley, the wheel set up did not agree with my driving style and busted my right rearhub. Wow the 80's coming back, I hope Z-Cavariccis and Wild Pair "Creepers" with huge buckles and tiger pattern come back too. Oh and Merry-Go-Round stores too. Girbauds the original oversized denims. The Bolo Tie.
You should see here in Hawaii (Maui). They are everywhere! Here's an example from Oahu (The other island in Hawaii).

My car might look something like this truck. When I get my Stance GR+ Coilovers & 15x12 (Hopefully if they can make them this wide) Weld Import Drags (Here is a picture of the rim)...

I want to thank Rally for his car/picture

He's the one that got me into the whole wide wheels "phase" ...
And this guy's mini for his 15x10 look

Not too sure what his name is so Thank you man!!! Praise the (Gay;Cheerful/Beautiful/Happy) lord!!!

While this wider than wide tire is unique it might not be as practical.
High rolling resistance can mean-
lower mpg
Higher noise from tire
Other problems-
More rubbing against the fender or suspension- do you rub in the front?
Lots of mud and gravel flinging
Needs Hawaii Recon sticker to be legal for non stock wider wheels/tires
Might attract unwanted attention from Police
Tire rub easily on curbsides
Might reduce clearance on sides to fit in small or narrow parking spaces
Heavy tire and wheel- slower acceleration, longer braking distances
