I am planning on buying a set of Conti Extreme Contacts for my 06 MCJCW.
I am running 16” Feathers.

The choice is 205/50 or 225/50. The 205s have a 8.4” wall width section, the 225s have a 9.2” wall.
The 205s have a 24.1” height (.3” shorter than OE) and the 225s have a 24.9” height (.5” taller than OE)
If I go with the 225 over the 205 anyone know if 1) I will have clearance issue with the wider sectional width, i.e rubbing fender or shock? 2) how much of a difference is the extra ½” of height going to make ?

1. what's the offset on the feathers?
2. I'd be a little cautious on the 225/50 -- the 225/45 is more frequently used

Understood, however the Contis don't come in a 225/45/16.

I'll check on the offset.

 

The Feathers have a +38 offset

 

I failed to mention the car is lowered about 1.5" all the way around.

 

CORRECTION the offset is 40+ not 38+
