List of Tire (not wheel) Weights?

Hi All,

I have searched and have been able to easily find weights of wheels on this site, tire rack and others but have not been able to find weight of tires. I have been shopping aorund for lightweight wheels and would love to compliment them with lighter tires without sacrificing quality and maybe savings an extra pound or two if possible.

Thanks in advance!

Tirerack.com also has the weight of the tires under each tire's specifications.

For example, from the tirerack website, for the 205/45 17 tire which I use, the weights vary from 20 lbs to 25 lbs per tire.

General Exclaim UHP is one of the lightest options available.

This tire rides very well, not intended for use in snow. Its giving up conering preciseness to gain the better ride.

It would be phenomenal if you could check the tire weights without having to click on Specs. Just some feedback.

Do you have any wheels that rival Konig Heliums as far as being 13lbs? I see the TR Motorsport C1s at 14.4, but wondering if there is anything else out there that might be lighter in a 16" rim.

Thanks Alex!

There is a few, but light also equals expensive. How light you wanna go?
bbs rgf
enkie pf01 and
the enkie rpf1
OZ Alegrierta
TR F1

I'd go for the enkie rpf1 as most bang for the buck in light strong 16 rims
or the bbs rgf if it's gotta be true-forged, but don't like the 35 mm offset.

even lighter (yet still very strong), and previously carried by tirerack were:

Volk TE-37 (true forged, and as pricey as the bbs)

SSR-C (semi-solid-forged)

both about 11# in 16x7 size with 42 mm offset.

Are they any lighter than the Konig Heliums? At 13lbs. and $120 each, that really can't be beat.

They look pretty nice too.

BBS are so expensive. Wow...I can justify spending a lot under the hood, but not on wheels.

the bbs, volk, and ssr above are 12.8#, 11.2#, and 11# respectively.
the enkies are 14 and 13.7
the OZ A is 13.8
the TRM F1 is 10.8 (and forged) but not listed in the applications for the MINI on their site.
(sorry for continuing to hijack this thread from tire weights to wheel weights).

I would not trust Konigs, while hitting the apexes hard. I busted oem wheels at Spring Valley Motorsport Ranch.
