My 205/50ZR16 are worn out on front but rear is still very good. Goodyear doesn't make that size for EAGLE F1 GS-D3 anymore.
So, wondering, if I put 195/55R16 Bridgestone Potenza G019 Grid on the front, would there be a big problem with this?
(On a budget and would rather pay $225 for 2 than $530 for 4 if I could)

195/55r16 is the stock size for the S...so it will fit fine if you can mount them on your rims.
However....the different RPM's front to back may give you continuous warnings....and the DSC maybe even the braking systems might have issues....may not be worth the effort...

Years ago you could just swap out fronts and or backs, these days with all the sensors i would not even think of just replacing 2 tires, I have seen cars throw codes just replacing 1 tire, when they wear down they are turning more revs per mile, and if the difference gets too much the computer will pick it up and throw a code.

My opinion, save some $ and get 4 when you have the money

I put on the Bridgestone Potenza G 019 Grids (195/55-16) last October and absolutely L@VE them!!

It's a very bad idea and counterprodutive in terms of performance, especially with a car designed for understeer. You are better off putting the GS-D3s in the front and the Grids in the back. That way you can finish off the GYs and spare the Grids till you save another $225 and buy a new 2 Grids for front.

I'm not one to replace just two tires, but those here who do will tell you the two new tires should go on the rear.

Why not just buy the 205-50-16 Grids for the front? According to my local tire guy who called the Bridgestone warehouse, they are just adding this size.

+1. This is good advise. I would just get 4 less costly tires and not upset the balance of the car.

does anyone know if 235/45/17 will fit on a 2006 MCS? i currently have 225/45/17 but would like to add some width to the tires. Maybe keep the 225/45/17 in the front and 235/45/17 in the back. Is this a good idea?

235/40-17 "fits" with some modification to to wheel wells and fender trim.
