My MCS is coming in to port tomorrow and will beging the trip to TX soon. I need to decide on wheels. If I decide to splurge on wheels, my choices are:
Car is B/B, with Aero Grille kit, and Frost and Red stripes.
SSR's in silver?
SSR's in Antracite?
Centerline RPM's in polished?

I detect a bias....
Any of those wheel choices would look good. Silver will appear subtle, Chrome-more classic and slightly aggressive with the RPM's lines. The Anthracite would give a more aggresive sorted look (dark on dark).

Take a look at ASA AR1's from the Tirerack if you want a nice looking wheel for less money. Alex sold me a set for my MCS that I pick up on Friday. With the money I saved over the SSR's, I bought 215/45/17 Goodyear Eagle F1's. Got better tires plus wheels for the price of the wheels. Also have seen some nice G-Racing Seki wheels at RSpeed that look nice on a black car.

Thanks folks, I wish I didn't have to make this decision. I'm supposed to be buying a set of silver SSR's from guy who lives close to me, but health problems in his family have kept him from getting to replacing them. He's planning on Anthracite SSR's for his DS MCS and selling his immaculate silver SSR's (12,000 miles) to me for $900! Problem is I need them before my car gets in so I can keep the runflats/R85's pristine for sale on eBay. Got two weeks max till it has to happen or order different wheels. The retail on SSR's hurts, but I've got a taste of them now and it's too easy to envision them on my car!

SSRs in Anthracite as the Centerline RPMs are ugly and I prefer the darker anthracite to the silver.

One option is to take delivery but wait and put minimal miles on the car while you wait for the cheaper SSR s become available or swap your new tires to your friends DS MCS (provided he is not driving it around) and take his wheels. All depends too on his getting his new wheels doesn't it?
Anyway. All your proposed options are good but I have even more for you to consider. I see that it looks like you are trying to choose 17" rims. The Centerline RPMs come in 17 and larger sizes. The SSR comps come in many sizes from 16 on up. If lightness and cost are a factor then the 16x7 SSR comp with et42 is only 11.3 pounds per rim.
The same rim in 17x7.5 et 42 is 13 pounds with the centerline RPM polished coming in more like 14 +pounds (I weighed them myself)
For comparison purposes the ASA AR1 comes in:
16x7 et 45 16.7 pounds $159 per rim
17x7 et 42 20.7 pounds $179 per rim
I don't think they look as nice, they weight alot more and I like the strength of the SSR comps or Centerline RPMs better. Good price though- check out the AK monza (webbmotorsport) if you like lower prices and 16" rims.
For B/B I vote for:
1. SSR comp anthracite (more agressive with the all black look)
2. SSR comp anthracite (if you had more chrome accents)
3. Centerline RPM polished (might be out of stock, and a good choice if cost is a consideration)

Centerline in the same series of wheels makes both the Excel and RPMs in the same finishes with the same bolt pattern, offset, weight, and price. Just a 10 spoke vs a 6 spoke pattern. Otherwise the forging process is the same.

i'm gonna be saving for a while and working on my settlement with my lawyer.
i am hopefull to have a mini sometime next year, with all the talk of the facelift and whatnot, i feel it can't hurt to wait as long as possible. public transportation will have to due for now.
can you imagine how i feel everytime i see a mini on the road, riding on the bus? heheheh

Not really! It's the only wheel I have "driveway envy" over!
I currently run a classic style discontinued SSR, called Integral.
They will come home in 16x7.5 in SILVER this winter!
