I can't make up my mind about which Bobert wheels to get and I'm hoping to find some guidance/opinions here. I’m looking at two 16” options for my Laser Blue MCS (Laser Blue Roof; Chrome Line Exterior/Mirror Caps):

Bobert Type LS




Bobert LV4

Considering the color and chrome on the car, I would go Type LS.

My neighbor had the anthracite ones, looked godd, but the spokes stick out a little more than I prefer.

 

At first I liked the LV4, but after checking it out on TireRack, although nice I think the LV4 disappears into Black. The LS really looks nice on the Indi-Blue Mini I put it on...I know not your color, but as close as I could get.

The choice is yours of course, but I think with the Chrome Line Exterior the LS's are the obvious choice!!

 

I'd go with the LS with your color combination.

 

The LS looks great (very similar to the TSW Asan).

Have you checked how much they weigh?

The Tire Rack Site says 22lbs, if this is correct this would not be my choice.

But as mentioned... they're heavy as hell :-(

 

The LV4 in silver or a dark color would bring it together on your MINI.

The LV4 is not as busy and looks classic. IMO

 

We have the LV4 on our Laser Blue Clubman. We liked the look, and they go with the LaB/B theme too... Hmm can't find an pics of just the car, only these someone else took of a very dirty Felix.

 

Oh and they aren't as black as they look, more anthracite. They also have a metallic finish.

 

I like the look of LV4 as well. Are those 16s or 17s? Hard to tell from small pictures. Do you know if the stock wheel caps would fit on the the Borbets? Make them look even more stock...

These would also look great on PW, SS, PS.

 

I like the LV 4 as the spokes look kinda of curved

Thanks for your input everyone. Type LS it is… They are on their way. I’ll post pictures once I have them on (they’ll be my winter tire set)

I'm a little late, but given your color scheme, the LS was the right choice.
