I just received my 16" winter wheels and ordered some lighter 17" summer wheels. I would like to find out where I can get or make a "MINI" or other suitable logo or badge for the hub center cap on the wheels. Someone must have done this. Any ideas out there?

Speaking of that, and I don't intend to steal the post....I'm looking for a quality .psd or .ai file of the MINI wings. If any one has one, and is willing to share, please email it to me. Thanks, you'll be rewarded.

I don't know if they cound do Mini emblems but I did have luck with this company from Canada. They are called
http://www.grafxwerks.com
They made me some center caps for the Mille Miglia wheels I bought for my Vibe and they were high quality. Haven't tried to use them on anything Mini but it may be worth a try. They are very nice to work with, also.

My SSR Comps came with really ugly fake chrome plastic center caps. I figured I'd rather go capless than put those things on - not just ugly, but a total mismatch w/ the wheels. I started on the same search you're on, but found nothing that fit - didn't consider paying for something custom. I finally decided to paint the SSR caps black and (w/ a little work) combine them with the MINI center caps that fit the s-lites. I cut the prongs off the back of the MINI caps and glued them to the surface of the SSR caps. They look great, REALLY confuse people, and have been on there for about 20K miles....so far.

How about a good tight shot of the wheels?

UPDATE: Feel free to email a shot if you have trouble posting.

Glad to, but I haven't taken any yet. I need to clean 'em up a bit, take a few pics, and then figure out how to post the pics. A long busy day means I won't get to it tomorrow....maybe Saturday....if the weather cooperates.

how much does it cost to get the emblems engraved into the aftermarket caps?

cause i dont think i would want to spend hundreds of dollars on center caps
on my winter set of wheels (SpeedEditions). i would rather sanddown the
face of the aluminum caps, get a graphics shop to make me a black mini logo
decal, stick it on the centercap, clearcoat it, rubbing compound it and done!
$35-50 at most.

Here goes my first attempt to add photos to an MCO post....hope this works....

First a close-up - 20K miles later there are a few battle scars (chips) but they still look good to me.

And a left-front shot for perspective.

If you don't mind ordering from the UK:

[url=www.midlandwheels.com/paul/clearfr.htm[/url]

or MiniSport.com. Either should have them with "MINI" or "Cooper" or Cooper with the Wreath, logos etc...

Hi Guys/Gals:

I Emailed Grafxwerks and sent them a closeup photo of a MINI hub emblem and asked whether they could reproduce 2" diameter overlays that looked like that. They responded: "That's 100% possible. All I need is either the genuine "Mini" logo in vector format (.eps or similar) or the font used for the "Mini" logo."

I am VERY computer illiterate and don't have a clue as to what it is they are asking for.

Is ANYONE out there that knows what grafxerks needs? If it is relatively simple to send them an image of the MINI Wheel Hub Logo they are asking for, could you please do it? Their Email address is: grafx@grafxwerks.com. I'm sure everyone who wants to hide their aftermarket wheel logos with proper MINI logos will appreciate your gesture. Thank You Very Much !

Joe
