I'm thinking about having my SSR Comps powder coated Black to match my body color. Any one have a photo of the same, or similar 6 (or 5) spoke wheel mounted on a Black MINI? If you can't post the photo on your reply please email me.

FYI any refinishing will void your warranty.

Hmmmm. That's important info. What is the SSR warranty? How long? Transferable? (I'm buying them used)

they would look amazing!
i'd go for it if you can find a really good shop to do them.
make sure you speak to them about your concerns with the wheels first.
make sure you post some pic's and PM me when they're up! i really want to see them!!!

SSr is 1 year warranty on the finnish and lifetime warranty against manufacture's defect.

There warranties are only applicable to the original purchaser.

Any repair or refinnishing of SSR product voids all warranties.

OK, you asked for opinions, so here's mine! I've never liked black wheels. They always look dirty. I think it totally detracts from the look of the car. To me, the wheels are part of the design and look of the car, painting the wheels black just kind of voids them out.

JMHO!

Hey, it's all good. I'll take the good with the bad. Part of me agrees with you and that's why I'd love to see a car with black wheels before I do it. At this point a picture of any color MINI with black SSR's or similar style will do.

nparker,

I first saw your car in the post months ago, "Show us your wheels", and I gotta admit your car has been a source of inspiration. Very nice, and agressive looking MINI. I've ordered the aero kit grille and plan on going with the darth vader look also. I'm trying to get an idea of what black SSRs will look like, maybe I should photoshop some onto your car! Looking at your rims again has now added the option of a dark grey color as an alternate. Decisions, decisions. So group....Black SSR's or Dark Grey?
