Pads advice please...

It's time for brake pads. What would you all recommend?

I like the initial bite of the stock pads, but would like something a bit more fade resistant when they are pushed hard. I would also like a pad that does not dust any worse than stock.

Did I mention that I want the same initial bite like the stock pads....

Thanks

I'm still impressed by my Carbotech Bobcats. And they are SOOOO much cleaner than the stock pads.

... But bobcats have NOTHING like the bite profile of OEM pads. Totally different. If you must have initial bite, you will be disappointed with the bobcats IMHO. Though some of us learn to prefer modulation to bite after we've tried it.

If you don't mind noise, the CarboTech AX6 pads do all the things you mentioned - dust like stock, even more bite, and less fade. But they squeel like stuck pigs.

Based on your like of the OEM feel and just not dusting more than OEM, I would say get....OEM/Stock.

Nothing wrong with stock if you don't mind the dust.

I have Hawk ceramic because of much lower dust. Feel is very close to stock.

Beyond that we would need more about what type of fade you are having. Are you a track junkie or just a street driver like me.

Go with Hawk. I had them on my R50. I liked the feel a lot better than stock, and there's A LOT less dust.

Go with Hawk
HPS would be the one to look at, its got better bite than Hawk Ceramic - and less dust than stock.

I would have to second Alex.
Hawk HPS is a gread pad. It needs a little heat for optimal performance but once it's heated up it grabs and does not fade so easily. Much less dust then stock.

Just like with everything else, you have to compromise. Can't have everything at the same time, just like with tires.

Yep, the HPS is what I had. Great pad. I plan on putting them on the R56 when the time comes.

I mostly drive street and 1 track day a year. I guess HPS sounds like the way to go.
