Best Way to Protect Wheels/Tires from Theft?

I am hoping to put some rubber on my BBS RY-IIs soon, but I'm concerned because I know how Vegas is with theft. I see a lot of cars up on blocks. Fortuneately I have not seen any in my neighborhood. My car will be outside until about March, though, and I want to protect my wheels from theft.

Is the best option going to be locking lugs? That's the only thing I can think of. If anyone else has other suggestions I'd love to hear.

Thank you!

Park in a garage.
Garages are for cars. Not crap. At least that's what I tell my wife!

Pull them off and take them in the house with you at night.

Hire a security guard to stand next to the car when out in public.

That ought to do it.

Really?
I thought the garage was for the tablesaw, bandsaw, milling machins, the bridgeport, surface grinder, dual sanders, tractor, etc....
Just Kidding. the Mini is absolutely stored in the garage. Along with the aforementioned junk.

America. Where is $50K car is parked outside, and the garage is full of $50.00 worth of junk at a yard sale.

To the OP

Wheel locks are a convenient, economical aid. A motion sensitive car alarm may be in order now.
You can never stop someone from stealing your wheels if they want them bad enough, just try to make your wheels harder to steal than the next guys. Thievery is not spectator event.

here is a better idea! get 4 boots like the ones the parking places use when you don't pay wheels and car will never be stolen that way!

Can you wait until March before putting on your BBS? The bottom line is that an experienced thief can steal them quickly and easily no matter what you do.

You're right about that....a few years back I was in J-ville, Fl. visiting a friend and this guy came up to us near the mall and asked if we wanted to buy some 20's...I didn't need them but we wanted to see them anyway, this fool opened the back of his suburban and had 4 20's w/ tires he wanted $500 for. They weren't bad looking except one still had the damn hub attached!!! ...he said it had a wheel lock on it and he get couldn't it off so he cut it off and if I wanted them he would take me to place to get it off. Needless to say, that was the last time I drove my car down that way...that is some straight

Buy four blocks and beat 'em to the punch. That should take make them scratch their head!

All in good fun, seriously; common sense is probably best.

Ok, so long story short there's nothing I can do. Great!

I guess the only option is to wait until March. The mini was in the garage, but I have a 335 parked in my spot until it leaves in March. The wife has waited a long time for her own garage space and now that she's got it she's not giving it up.
