Hey folks, I posted a couple of days ago in the "Coupe Talk" board about a clearance deal the Tire Rack has on the Brembo GT kit. It's usually about $2600 but they have one kit left for unknown reasons listed at $1300. This seems to be a really good deal, to me. Am I missing somthing?

I really don't have the money right now (an unexpected $11K heat pump will do that) but nobody seems to have jumped on it. I know that other kits are available for $1000 or so but... This just seems to be a lucky find, to me.

My wife (final say, you know how it is...) has given me the go ahead but seeing as nobody responded to that post, I'm afraid I'm missing something. Given that I need to buy new pads anyways, the cost is reduced even further since I'd get pads with that kit.

Should I jump on this? If somebody else wants to, be my guest, it makes my decision easier. If not, I'd just like to hear from somebody to back up my hunch that this is too good to pass up...

Do you want it posted in the Brakes/Wheels/Tires thread? I pinged your 2 posts so someone will combine them and if you want, they can move it, also.

 

I thought I was posting it there but somehow ended up with two new threads in here. Argh. Too many tabs. Worked till 3AM last night. 6-week old kid. Sleep is in short supply around here.
