Thanks minicoop78, I will take your advice, perhaps I should look at other brands as well?

How about carrying one of those 12v mini-compressors and a tire plug kit? I haven't had to use them, but a couple of friends have with good results. And, no slop in the tires. I have feelings for my brothers and sisters in the "industry". The gang at the tire shop our dealership uses hates canned the products.

Thanks or the suggestion, but I think I wil stick with canned air. This approach is not meant to be an all out repair, only a temporary patch to get you to the nearest station. I don't want to carry a small compressor in my mini, space is already at a premium.

Please as a courtesy let your tech's know if you have used fix a flat inside your wheels - its very difficult to get off the wheel.

I would let the tech know so he can put latex gloves on. Othewise he will become very sticky and upset - that goey stuff never totally dries!

Alex, Is there some solution that can be used to clean up the inside of tires & rims if you have used some brand of "Fix-A-Flat" and now want to plug from inside for a more reliable repair?

Using elbo grease and a good adhesive remover is the only way to remove fix o flat type sealent. I would most definatly get it out, and repair, or replace the tire.
