Ahh... A buddy of mine helped me out with pinstriping the groove. I made sure to have it fill out the groove width wise to make is stand out good, and not like this guy did... You can hardly see it!

Alright i dont want to start a new thread and this is the thread that popped up in my search...

Ive never bought wheels and I usually just stick with what comes with the car. So i have no idea which brand is good and which is bad. They also need to be affordable too because im going to be pretty broke after I get my mini.

So what brands do you guys suggest? And whats the best in quality for a reasonable price?

Thanks! ~ Emily

No need to start a new thread , you can find all the information you could ever want right here on the "show me your wheels thread" ! http://www.northamericanmotoring.com...ur-wheels.html

This particular thread (for the most part) is for people searching for information about "Konig Feathers" so, there's not much info here on the hundreds of different wheels offered ! Good luck with your search, NAM has a ton of info for you right at your finger tips. You just need to search the threads that have already been started for your viewing pleasure !

So I'm thinking of some Feathers in black for my car. I'm torn between 16" and 17" - opinions?

I've also posted a few questions here as well - https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...6s-to-17s.html

Also do the feathers mount with the OEM lug bolts? I know I'll probably need hubcentric rings to match the 56.1 bore

I am using the OEM lugs... So yes.

The shop that mounted and balanced my wheels and tires just gave be me the hub centric rings that fit.

It depends where you purchase the rims ... I gathered that the early versions had smaller lug holes that had to be drilled. I'm not sure if this is still the case. If you order from a MINI Vendor like Alta they will for sure you the right wheels for the Mini.

If you plan to track your car, get the metal rings otherwise you may run into issues with melting...so I've read. I'm pretty sure the wheels came with the plastic rings. I purchased mine from Alta.

I just ordered a set of 17" in silver from Discount Tire, didn't want to go flat black due so many other Black Mini owners have done this already. Will post photo in a week or so when they come in.

Will, silver will look better on your car anyway. Post pics when you get them on.

I'll post some better pics this weekend.
Btw, I'm not fond of the Konig center cap logo. Does anyone know if I can get some Mini replacements in the same center cap radius size?
