Is TPMS transferrable?

I'm thinking of purchasing wheels that accept the OEM TPMS monitor for the wheels...Can I just take them off my STOCK wheels and put them on my new ones???

Beru sensor trasfer kits are $4.50 per sensor - new valve core and O ring.
Thats all you should have to change.

Call me if you need them

OK, I have another question. If you don't put the sensors on the new wheels, will you have the light on the dash and can it be disabled?
I'm not really looking to have the TPMS on my wheels especially when I don't use Run-Flats.

so wait ... can they be removed from the OEM set WITHOUT removing the tire from the rim? or will I have to spend $ to remove the tire first?

The TPMS light will stay on.I was hoping I could turn it off through the service reset procedure but it stays on.

So, I guess I'll have to resort to the "good 'ole" black electrical tape to fix the dash light issue
and while i'm at it I'll do the DSC and ABS light too

No I didn't try it yet since i'm still on stock wheels, but since i'm looking to upgrade it would be good to know if it's doable.
Thanx

I wasn't charged for any transfer kit or told it was needed at America's Tires. Everything worked out fine.

TPMS is mandatory so disabling it is not easy by design. Why not just transfer them and forget about them.

... and yes you have to take the tire off the rim to remove the TPMS valve stem

Because morons in Ford Exploders don't check their tire pressure, and can't tell when they are driving 75mph on a flat.
