Have gone thru about 20+ pages on this Tire and wheel forum and got tired go'n any further. Looking to replace my Perrilli OEM Run flats..cant believe I only got about 12K on'em..Goodyear Eagles RSA's are about 8 lbs heavier and more expensive..Dunlop SP Sports lok like there are for summer only driving. Looking for a higher milage all wx tire and a bit less expensive than the OEMs.. suggestions??

Hmmm, maybe he means all weather/season. That's what the Eagles are. and he just wants higher milage.

Are you trying to use these tires for snow as well?
For general use non runflats some people like:
Yokohama AVS ES100 or Bridgestone Potenza Pole Position S-03
Both are worth a look and available at tirerack.com

Yes..I'm looking for an all season, higher milage tire to replace my OEM's. The Perellies are horrible in the snow and the milage is atrochous (less than 12K). However the Goodyear 'Eagle' RS-A EMT is more expensive and about 8 lbs heavier per tire. Any other worthy tire to look at?

This is a great performace all season tire, 950. What charteristics would you like that it doesn't have?

Hi Alex,
Didn't see my tire spec on your website for 205/45R 17 for the Bridgestones..also the site said they are 'H' rated..also are they Run Flates?

Thanks,
Clay

they are non runflats.

they are 215/45/17 - many more choices in that size!

You do not want to try putting H rated tires on the MCS unless you drive like a grandma.

For those of you swapping out Run Flats for non-Run Flats, are you just accepting the risk of a blow out, or are you taking other measures?

try a seach to see the tactics.

often a cell phone - a roadside plan, a 12v comprssor, and a can of fix'o flat.

I think in the lower profiled sides 950 is a great choice, if you want all season, and dont need razor sharp steering - very comfortable !

Thanks Alex. That's the way I was leaning, but just looking for some other ideas.

Alex -- you recommended

>>Bridgestone RE 950 45k $142 ea!

But when I use your website, I don't see the RE950 pop up under either 16" or 17"

Am I doing something wrong?

Alex,

My Mini Cooper S came with 205/45/17 runflat tires.

Is it possible to fit 215/40/17 tires without upseting the wheel alignment and loading?

The roll diameter is slightly less.
