16x7.5 SSR Comps w/s03's
With some much appreciated help from Alex I recieved my new rims and tires today. For those of you with the S-lites, this is an awesome change to make. Smoother ride, easier acceleration; and I will tell you about the grip after I scrub them in. But here are the pics for the curious.

I also have much larger pics if anyone is curious. It'll be auto-x'd this weekend so hopefully I can get the car to rotate a little better and stick harder out of the turns.

great looking wheels. in fact i've just ordered the SSR comps 16x6.5 with goodyear GS-D3's 205/50. currently on backorder. but i may change my order, if i still can.
reason why is i'm planning on selling my MC CVT and getting a MCS. color is main reason. from SG/B to BRG/W. i think i'm gonna go either 16's SSR GT1's in white or SSR comp R's in silver. Not too sure about anthracite.
my question is did you consider 16x6.5 at all? or why did you choose 16x7.5? trying to figure out what i wanna get for my incoming MCS. no auto-x, just for fun in daily drive and occasional driving school.

Nice wheels and tires!!! Of course I like 'em, cause I'm running the same combo only 16 X 7 on 205/50/16.
I agree with kbseto. Gotta lower that baby and then the 16s look perfecto!!
kbseto: you are not happy with SG/B? You'll have no trouble selling your MC. My dealer says that he has people asking for SG all the time, willing to take a used one even.

I considered them but I wanted my rims NOW. After months of considering, I wasn't willing to wait. I also decided that I was not going to run stock anymore and that STS/STX (still not sure which the mcs runs in) would be my class. And wider is better.

The difference the lighter rims make is unreal. No more stalling, high rev starts, even with the air on. The engine revs much more freely when I am on the throttle at highway speeds. The so3 are great, I still haven't finished scrubbing them in and they are already leagues better than the run flats. I really, really like the silver finish and it is only availible in the 16x7.5 (right now) and I wouldn't want an narrower wheel with this high (50 series) aspect ratio. I seem to have lost a little of the "darty ness" I had with the run flats and I think a narrower tire would make the steering slower. As for the springs, oh yeah baby. I am considering:
rear sway bar first
springs
magnaflow
limited slip and lightweight flywheel (while I am in there  )
some sort of intake, the alta looks pretty cool and seems to be hp comparable
then maybe I'll drop the wad and go for randy's 230 hp kit and sneak up on some turbos that have been leaving me in the dust
