Motegi DP6 18x7.5 45mm offset?????

Hey Guys, I'm considering an 18" set of these for an 06 MCS I might buy and was wondering if anyone had a set of these in 18's on their car? They are Motegi DP6 silver18"x7.5", I'm a little concerned about the offset = 45mm any issues? with a 205/40/18 tire?

You should be fine using stock suspension. +45mm offset is OK with 18x7.5 wheel and 205/40-18 tire.

Use 4x100 bolt pattern and get correct size Centering rings to fit the wheels. MINI hub bore is 56.1mm.

Check also the weight of the wheel, usually 18" are quite heavy so it's more for appearance. 205/40-18 tire should be OK for handling and comfort, you can choose All Season or Summer tires.

Thanks for the reply, I was just a little concerned about the offset as I have 42mm on my current 18's lowered with Eibach's on 215/35/18's. The new Mini will be lowered less so with JCW suspension but a minimally larger diameter tire at 205/40's but the 45mm offset. Does that make the rim stick out more or less? thanks again.

PS I believe Kalbone 's wheels are 18"x7.5" with a 45mm offset and he has a major drop!

ET45 means your new wheels would be 3mm closer to your suspension, so it tucks inside more. Why not run a 5mm spacer, running an effective ET40 and go with 215/40/18 to fill more of the wheel gap since you'll have a good amount with the VERY mild JCW suspension.

Just a thought...

7.5ET45 is very tight. I ran 215/35/18's on PSS9's and now 215/45/17's on Cross and both are but mm's away.

Keep in mind the OP is going to run a 0.5" drop, nothing compared to what you're running lol. Don't scare him like that

Oh, haha. When you say mm away, do you mean from the suspension itself or from rubbing on the inner wheel liner?

Either way, I think the wheel would look better on the car with a 5-10mm spacer as an ET45 isn't quite flush with the fenders...

Ah that's not likely to be an issue with the JCW suspension though...
