New JCW Challenge Wheel

If you click on the link below, the JCW challenge car will come up. Be patient and it will flash through several angles of the car. You don't have to click on any other links. In the car featured in this flash (or whatever the term is) presentation, the wheels have one less double spoke than the wheels originally pictured on the Challenge car. You can see the difference for yourself if you click on gallery after watching the flash presentation. The gallery pics have 8 U-shaped spokes compared to 7 on the flash car. Maybe these are the next JCW wheels? The pics and sounds are cool regardless of the wheels.

Here's the link:

I talked to Phil Wicks today for about an hour ... about the car and the series. (also about the MINI USA involvement, dealer network, avaliability, parts & all the "LEGAL STUFF" etc)

Very interesting ...

Yeah, I wanted a little more dirt also. What'd he say?

I emailed someone at MINI asking about challenge wheel spares. If people are racing these cars, there have to be spares available from MINI. Anyway, she said that none of the challenge parts are street legal and wouldn't be offered for sale.

I wrote that it was for a track only MINI that wouldn't see street time and she was still having none of it.

I was lucky enough to have rode in the MINI CHALLENGE in 2005 and in 2007
both years as a passenger... cannot understand why MINI did not trust me behind the wheel ??

It is such a sweet ride.. little differences between the 2005 and 2007 - wheels and spoiler . The 2005 spoiler (the same of the GP) was nice the 2007 one even better.

Well I need to be a bit careful (content) and also not to misquote...
MINI usa will NOT be the distributor ... legal S(*&

The dealer netwok will be the place to get the car and parts (only avaliable to challenge cars.. not open market for wheels , spoilers ...)

2 partners that I now of (one in calif SFO and one I think in ? tennessee?
The Tenn partner is VERY well known in motorsport ... BIG name )

Really will have a BIG push with marketing etc ... looking more at '09
