I like the second set on your car. It has more lip!

Measures: 52"Wx34"Hx34"D Lip Chair w/ Pillow Included! $529

Laur,
they're both cool. I think it depends on whether you want a sort of monochromatic look(the 1st set) or a contrast (2nd set).....I'm getting new wheels as well......they'll be dark, like the body color of my car...we're getting them from RSpeed.

Good luck either way...like i said, they're both very good looking...

Lmini,

They both look great, I think once you get either one you will think it's awsome on you car. I got my Konig's and haven't had a regret. Mine is similar to the second one.

From a sheer asthetic point of view, the second ones (Konig Spec) would look killer on your car. They have a beautiful polished lip, will be easy to keep clean, and the color will complement your Pure Silver perfectly.

I looked at the Konig site and it seems that the DTD Spec is part of an exclusive line that is only sold at Discount Tire. This may be a problem in the future if you ever need to replace a rim. I couldn't find data on these wheels (offset, wheel weight), so even though they'd fit (according to Discount Tire), I would do a little more research to be sure that you are getting the right wheel for your MINI.

The Mille Miglia HT3 is not the lightest wheel out there (21 lbs for a 17 X 7) and IMO, is too angular/linear on such a curvy car as the MINI. Availability should not be a problem, however, as many retailers carry this line.

Not to stir up the pot, but I don't think you've found the perfect wheel yet. I'd suggest holding off until you do. They are one EXPENSIVE set of shoes and you want them to look and fit just right.

Cheers,
Kim

I agree with Cheese. The Konigs will leave you with empty holes. Not pretty IMO.

I appreciate the insight, but to be honest...I've been looking at wheels since last year. And these are the only two I have eyes for. I have looked at SO many different kinds that it makes my head hurt. I have had my MINI for almost a whole year and the reason I didn't get new wheels before is because I was still looking through SO many of them. Now I have narrowed it down and I have the funds, so I will be comfortable with either one I get.

Thanks though. I am actually leaning towards the Milles.

I just noticed that the image Tire Rack uses for their sponsor picture here is of a PS MCS with the Milles. They really do look much better once you see them on the car.

Okay, Milles get my vote too.

Hey L,

Wow, that's a tough one for me. I like the look of the second ones; especially the bevel where they connect to the outside ring. The other thing is the color. Booya! But I "strongly dislike" wheels that will fit more than one bolt pattern.

So if you held a gun to my head, I'd pick the first because of the center only having 4 holes. Tough one!

OK....yeah.....24" spinners it is. Thanks guys for all your help, but I think my MINI really needs some BLING. (My new European plate shall read "BLANG BLANG".)

Yep. Its really a personal fashion thing. You get to see it each morning in your driveway, pick the style that moves you. IMHO is that I tend to not love multiple bolt holes. Let me know when its time, L.

As an aside, 5 spoke wheels are easier to clean than 10 spoke wheels.

I agree with dominicminicoopers on the cleaning issue but I personally was not thrilled with the Konigs universal bolt pattern so I did not go that route even thought I did like the deep dish look of the Konigs sooooooo It's your baby go with what feels and looks good to you. I ended up with Antera 309's. They are similar to the Konigs with the deep dish and 5 star but in silver. Some would argue that they are too heavy @ 22lbs but everytime I see Greta I smile because she looks good and she is mine. Gotta Motor

Peace Out

I think both would look great on your car but I like the style of the first rims better. Heres some rims with the same look but a little different. My cousin put a set on his integra and they look really sharp!

Just for the record, the 10 spoke wheel you posted "looks" better than the 5 spoke one
