Wheel question.

My Momo's got damaged and I need new rims. I am liking these:

They are Drag DR16. Does anyone know anything about them?

Well, from what I can see, they are round with a black center and a polished lip. That little thing sticking out at the 6 o'clock position is the valve stem...and they're pretty ugly.

Thank you. How do you feel about the M7 hat? Nobody will tell me what the fit and finish is like.

Are your tires beyond repair?

They may be salvagable.... Or is this a case of an exuse to upgrade.

Also, there are sites that can let you know weights....

As far as the comments on looks, that's subjective. If you like em, eff whatever others have to say about that!

My wheel guy says they can repair them, but the cost is just about what a new wheel costs so that's a wash. So yeah, using it as an excuse to upgrade. The wheel guy recommends these:

Claims they are 15 lbs and strong. He uses them on his race car.

That model and Rota GT3 are copies of old school JDM GAB sports wheels. I believe the GAB sports wheel is 2-piece and the drag and rota's are one piece.

I think the GT3's weigh about 17 lbs for the 16" model, 16" is the largest the GT3 comes in. Not sure about the Drag, but the GT3 comes in a bunch of different colors also.

I think they look great I was looking at getting a set, but I knew I would not be lowering the car for a while and I would definately want a drop for a 16" wheel.

Looking at the Kyowa apps guide...

there are a bunch they have in 17x7, and the 316 is available in 17x7.5...

http://www.kyowadesigns.com/appGuide.html

But no weights there....

Not on the wheel weights lists either...

The only thing I don't like about the 316 is the machined center. Plus I am worried about rubbing with a 7 1/2. I am trying to decide between 210 and 228 (more like what i have now).

Not at least till Monday. My wheel guy already tried. They are closed today. I am really starting to lean towards the 210. Supposed to be in the $150/each price range.

IF that's the weight and price...

it's a good find. I got the Kazera KZ-Vs at a bit less than $150 a wheel and they're heavier..... Now I have to go find some big pot holes!

Unlike these replica wheels ...

As someone said above...people generally report the dr16's being around 16-18 pounds for the 16" versions. The 17's are a little more than 19 pounds.

I don't know what prices you've found, but www.jlbmotorsports.com has them for less than 400 including shipping.

*ACE* has got a set of them in 15's on his MCS

Got a reply...

KR206 -17LBS
KR210 -17LBS
KR228 -16LBS
KR316 -19LBS
KR518 -19LBS
KR595 -17LBS
EVOLVE -19LBS

These are for 17x7 or 17x7.5 wheels in 4x100 bolt circles. Decent weight, but no real lightweights here.

Well, at $135 the price is right. Too bad they are out of stock till the end of the month. If I don't find some rims soon I will be riding the bus.

There's always the Kazera KZ-Vs...

they don't look as good, but the price and weight is about the same. Tire rack seems to always have them in stock....

Since the 210 are not in stock, I went with 316's. 7.5 wide:
