Lightest 17" wheel

What is the lightest 17" wheel on the market today? I already did a search, but I am wondering what else is out there.

Thanks!

I believe the reigning 17" champion is the Centerline Impulse at under 12lbs.

"Well according to this months Turbo, the lightest 17" is the Impulse by Center line wheels, it weights 11.8lbs in a 17.7. The next 5 lightest in 17" is the Veloxs line of wheels which all weight in between 12-12.6lbs. Weld Racing Racelite R/S are 12lbs in a 17.7,the Volk CE28N at 13.6 in a 17.75. The Volk TE37's weight 15.6lbs in a 17.75, and the Racing Hart CP-035 are 12.8lbs in a 17.7. The Racing Hart CP8R are 12.4lbs in a 17.7. Volk Gram lights 57C are 15.8 in a 17.75. Those are the ones that caught my eye."

pulled that off a google search

Nope. I've e-mailed Alex at Tire Rack 2 or 3 times and haven't heard anything back. Maybe I'll hear something from him after the holidays.

I haven't handled the Centerline Impulse in person, but the old Centerline RPM was an incredibly light 17" wheel. Too bad I only have three that are still round. :(

Ouch, what happened?

Do you know the actual weight of the CenterLine RPM 17x7? I've heard everything from 13.5 to 16 lbs.

I have a set, but didn't have a way to accurately weigh them.

I'v Run and destroyed 6 of The Impulses and 2 Storms which is the Heavier duty Impluse. They maybe a good rim for track use only and thats even a maybe. I was bending the outside bead just by looking at it funny. I still have one of the Impulse wieghts in at 11.75 pounds and the storm 16.2 pounds. The only way for me to tell if it is an Impulse or Storm is from the Centercap (without lifting it). The PreProduction Impluse the center cap was held on by allen bolts while the storm was a clip in. I'll grab some pix later today of both the good ones and two bent ones I have hiding in the back of the garage

Alex at TireRack says SSR Type F is coming soon -- lighter and stronger than Type C (Competition). !7" should be around 14 lbs.

And a full set is only 10% of the price of your entire car.

Seriously! LOVE the BBS' but for my uses at least, that price simply cannot be justified. I have a hard enough time justifying a set of OZ UL's.

But to each his own and if you have the means...

Hi,

Do you know who, if anyone, is selling the The Velox Pro-Gear 10Rev or 8Rev wheels? Velox wheels don't sell them anymore. You know of anyone or company that would sell either of those wheels?

Thanks

I was wondering if you were bending the rims by extreme driving without hitting anything?
