annoying tire/wheel sound!
annoying tire/wheel sound!
ok...so this is what happened today....after i got a car wash.....i started hearing squeeling noise from the rear tires/wheels.... i thought it was maybe due to its wetness since this was first car wash in like 3 months... however it kept on going till the whole day... this is not just a squeeling noise...itz really annoying and constantly goes on....is there something wrong with the wheels???
If it only happens while the car is rolling, it could be a rock or debris stuck in your brakes. Try rolling forward then back and see if you can dislodge it.
Just a possibility.

I had the same thing happen on the front wheels of my new R56. I jacked it up and spun the wheel and determined the back of the rotor was rubbing in the heat shield. I just bent the heat shield out a little and no problems since.
If your brakes are old, may be a wear indicator letting you know to replace the pads. Or could be a hardened piece of brake dust or a pebble that is stuck between the caliper and the rotor.
I would jack it up and spin the wheel to see where the sound is coming from.
