wardm,
WELCOME to MCO !!
If you do a search here in the wheels and tires section you will find info on this very topic. It appears that several MINI owners are powder coating their wheels. Check it out !!
Sounds like a cool idea!! Before I bought the MINI I wanted a Miata with Panasports on it. However, I have fallen in love with another set of lighter weight wheels for my MCS. I hope Santa will be generous this Christmas
!!
Best Regards,
Ron

Mark - I have some on my Cooper - and good news for you - Panasport is now offering them in different colors from the factory. I believe black is one of them - best place to buy them now is Paul Spurell Alfa in Atlanta. Click HERE for their web page.
Also - Panasport has now changed the original offset for the Mini 16" version from 38mm offset to 40mm offset - looks more like a Mini spec wheel now over mine as the 38mm tend to stick out by 2mm.
Here is a shot of mine and then a shot from Panasports web page.

Wow, I've also been looking at the Panasport wheels. They look very "Mini" like on you car. Great combination. Are those 16"? They looks smaller. What Tire are you running on them? Also, do you have a full side view picture you can post? Anyone know what the 16" wheel weight is? Thanks!

Yes, they are 16" with Falken FK451's - I'll have more pictures soon.

They come in at 17.4lbs each for the 16" - this is just off my memmory. Not as light as my Mini 15" 9 hole wheels - but a huge difference from the 17" S-lites.
And you can get the 16" Psports from anywhere around $200-230.
