Nice! You can't go wrong with the remembers. Unless you put BBS center caps on them. Get them things mounted!

r56cooper- I appreciate the kind words and thanks for reminding me. I know I got some locks lying around somewhere.

ChiliWORKs- Thanks! I just need to finish off the exterior with "carbon fiber" door handles and black out the belt line and I might actually say I'm done.

A question on 15 inch wheels. I am looking for after market wheels and due to expense I want to stay with 15 inch wheels and go with 205/55/15 tires. Looking at Tire Rack and Discount Tire there are tons of 15 inch wheels available, but, not many recommended for Mini Coopers. I have a base Cooper. I see many different styles and brands here in this thread on base models and S models. The question.....is everybody brave and you just order what you want thinking they are going to fit or do you take seriously the recommendation of these distributors and just consider the recommended wheels? I questioned offset as a contributing factor to potential fit, but, the phone reps say that curvature over the brakes are a consideration regardless of offset. I know that most 15's won't fit on S models or JCW models, but, on base models? My dealer says that they don't typically have issues with aftermarker wheels fitting base models. I know that the stock spooler wheels hava 45 mm offset. Please share your thoughts. Anybody have knowledge for people wanting 15 inch wheels but don't like the recommended wheels from the distributors? My son has a Scion XA and the choices are huge for him to choose from. Thanks to the NAM community for your help.

The reason you see many different wheels in here that aren't on the tire rack fitment site is because Tire Rack only carries a small portion of the total number of wheels available. There are numerous other brands that would easily fit our cars but are sold elsewhere.

Case in point, my Konig Tractions. Got them from Discount Tire Direct, but they won't list out for any Gen IIs. Selecting a 2006 Mini, and they appear. Holes are 14mm, and they fit perfect right down to the TPMS. And the bonus? They can be had for $300 shipped for 16s! ($336 for 17s)

Rally Stance, thanks for taking the time to respond to my question. I don't feel I got my answer though. Both the mention of the number of wheels seen in this thread and the distributors names are used for reference. I know other wheels exist. I have been to many other distributors sights to see my potential options. Do people use the recommendations solely or do they order outside the recommendations? What arw thw limiting factors? 10zero thanks for the suggestion. I tried what you said at Discount and got the same results (by vehicle) as searching for a 2008 base. Tire Rack splits 2006 by before and after 7/12/06. After is the same as my search for the 2008 I own. Before lists more, but, there is obviously a differnce in possibly the brake size? So the same situation exists as the question I asked and limited availibility. Again thanks I appreciate the responses. Any other thoughts.......

People order outside of the recommendations. The recommendations are conservative at best. Some people go WAY outside the recommendations and some just go a few mm's outside of the recommendations when it comes to offsets and widths.

And yes, the difference you're probably seeing between the pre-06's and the second gens is the brake size and possibly the lug bolt size which moved up to 14mm after 06.
