Mahalo.

Thank you MINIHUNE for understanding what I'm after. I agree with you on how I need to go to a gathering to check the various sizes out. Hopefully Classic MINI will invite us N.E. Ohio owners back to Nelson Ledges Raceway again this summer. Great day of driving and MIINs of all kinds. Trust me when I say, I'm always on the look out for other MINIs! I've seen a Cooper with the Firestone Firehawks - 195/55-16 and it looked pretty close to factory, but I've read elsewhere its not a very good tire........ so the search continues. Thanks again for your time and thoughts.

i still dont get it. post #7 has several different styles on there to get
you started including popular high perf tires.

the other plain a/s tires will all pretty much look the same... like any
low perf tire. bubbly/soft sidewall, weak shoulders, and un interesting
treads. makes them look even more boring when mounted on 7"
width wheels.

Yeah, I don't get it either. But since I had pictures of three different 205/50R16 tires handy, I figured I'd post them.

Thanks for the different pics SNID. It is indeed a start for me to start considering what tire is right for me. What is there to get or not get?

my track setup is 205/50-16 Hankook Z214... im sure you are not looking at track tires but here it is, wheels are 16x7 BSA 303 anyways:

Are you looking for pics of the tread pattern? Because that should be more easily done at tirerack or edgeracing or wherever else online.

Are you looking to see what the sidewall height looks like? That doesn't make sense because different pictures of the same setup can make things look really different because of angles and lighting and such. And, the difference isn't going to be that much anyway from one 205/50R16 to another 205/50R16.

I guess I just don't understand what you are looking for and why.

As minihune said, your best bet is going to be to look at these things in person. Pictures won't help much.

And, I'm extra confused because personally, what a tire looks like is pretty far down on my list of criteria when selecting a tire. Not that there's anything wrong with people who have that at the top of their list. It's just not that way for me. Price / performance ratio is at the top of my list, looks after that.
