Description:

The genuine Mini Gen 1 armrest (pictured below) requires an adapter plate (also pictured below) for early cars.  I purchased the armrest used and the adapter plate is not included.  If you installed the armrest, didn't need the adapter, and are willing to part with it, please send a PM.  Thanks.

Yes, but you're a metal medic and I'm not. Did you weld the studs in place?

I didn't. When you install it in an earlier model, there is a gap at the back so i just used thru bolts and attached it to the black center console part first then I bolted it to the car. I made my initial template with a piece of Cardboard then cut a piece out with my a hand saw.

I'm sorry to continue to bug you but want to make sure I understand. You're saying that there's enough space beneath the base (on pre-facelift cars) for bolt heads on the underside of the bracket? If so, that certainly makes things easier. Thanks for your time.

Yes, seeings where those studs are, their is carpet. I used a set of (SS M6 Button head allen head bolts), Same thread as the nuts your going to have too pull out of the back of the original center.

That's a picture of the gap behind it and you can see the original studs that are on the body. Lots of room

And that's the bracket I made. it's not a looker but it works great
