Can someone tell me what these numbers mean?

are they part numbers, spring rates...what?
Who else got these and how easy are they to setup...
Dropped the box off at the mechanics and didn't bother to read/open up the instructions, curious if there's any setting up on them other than softness and height.

Dunno, every manufacturer is different. 40 might be length of spring in mm, but that equates to a 3" spring - smallish...or the comressed length(block height) which is more realistic. 200 might be the spring rate

let me guess ...

KW 2007 is the partno, 41E 06 is the batch no

KW 40 -200 means a 40N/mm (approx 4kg/mm) spring rate and a spring length of 200mm

200 is pretty close to 4kg - good catch! But 200mm is a little over 15" - too big for the mini.

200mm = 7.87" which is exactly what my springs measure...I've got the same coils...

Lol ... if you go to the KW manual you can read that 40-200 means exactly what i wrote.

I guess KW coilovers have longer shock travel compare to the Taiwanese makes.

Okay guys, since KW is german and I am geram too (what a surprise) lets explain...

The numbers printed ont the springs and dampers do mean NOTHING ! right, really nothing !

Why ? Because here in Germany we are not allowed to modify our cars without the approval of a company called TÜV. They check for clearance of your wheels, check if lights are high enough, all that stuff. And to check if the right coilovers are used the have to be marked with some numbers, so TÜV can check documents and the used parts for being identical.

That's all. The numbers may code for something, but KW will not tell us their internal code-system...
