Were they a good choice?

How are these coilovers holding up? Have they proven to be reliable? Does M7 still sell them?

Yes we still sell them As for reliability I am not aware of any issues being reported to us so far and there are several cars with over 50k miles on them . I think Steve at the Custom Mini Shop has even more than that on his personal ride . I have not seen any reports on here with issues either. If there was a problem I think it would have popped up at some point between you asking this same question over a year ago and today If you would like to take a test ride sometime let me know as I am in the Santa Monica / Ventura mountains frequently.

I've had mine on for about a year or so with no problems. The only complaint I have was that the dust boots were to long. Mine bunched up at the top of the strut and eventually ripped apart Minor problem tho really

I don't know if that was a addressed over the last year, but all in all I am really happy with mine

M7 shocks - review

The rears are fine because weight loading during cornering does not demand a lot from them. But the fronts... need to be replaced. Probably a great street shock but not for extended track use. The adjusters on the bottom of the shock are a neat feature but any real change in stiffness is slight and probably not worth the time I spent logging track times and settings. Oh, yeah the boots are crap. They tore after one 20 min. secession at VIR. But it's not a real concern on a track car."

Just installed a set of M7's last weekend. First look at these things, they are massive, look to be very well made. The double locking ring's made out of metal, seem at first to be a better way than KW's plastic ring and set screw. Only hope they settle in well and lower some more. I was running M7 springs and the OEM struts, and that combo was lower, but we will see. As TSW is not selling camber plates right know, I went thru Outmotoring to get some Vorshlags. Seems like they have changed the design from the TSW set up and the perch was WAYYY to thick, the stem dosen't get close to comming thru Called Aaron at Outmotoring and no problems in returning them, thank you Aaron Went to Hotchkis camber plates and really like them, they are made just for the Mini, they fit the holes perfectly. Right now they are on full soft, to settle in, very smooth ride, but a little to soft for me. Will soon start to firm them up and they should be a awesome street coil

Reading over this thread I am tempted to get these for my 04 non-S Cooper. Can I run my stock R90 wheels without adding spacers in the front to clear the struts?

Contact M7. I would think they could tell what will and won't work. Give Peter a call.
