05+ w/ Fixed Ireland Engineering Camber Plates + Lowered

Apparently the 05-06 Minis have a slight interference problem in the front that prevents camber from getting more negative than approximately 1.2 degrees or so. There are reinforcing "ribs" in the sheet metal of the drivers side strut tower that will contact the spring at the end of the camber adjustment.

IE sells fixed camber plates that will give you -1.25 degrees on top of stock. If your car is lowered, the final camber setting will probably be anywhere from -1.5 to -2.0 degrees.

Has anyone with a lowered 05-06 Mini tried these plates? Can you confirm if this interference problem is an issue?

See the post below this one. There is a potential for interference, but a few well placed hammer blows seems to fix the problem for good...
cheers!

I'm using the fixed plates but with KW coilovers ... no problems.

-2.0 in front.
