tit- i still like your 18's better. your weight is about S-lite/R90 territory
anyways.

The biggest difference i felt between my R90's with DSST's and my current
setup is the enormous increase in braking capacity. throttle response, yes,
a little... but braking was night and day.

throttle improvement =
braking improvement =

Oh don't worry Ken...I like the 18's too....I think the gold enkei's look silly on my car...

Actually...after we swapped the wheels around, my buddy called me when he got home...

"Man!!! These wheels are heavy! I can't believe it!"

I found that amusing, because before we did it he hypothesised that lighter wheels would make 2 tenths of jack-all difference to the handling..... I tend to agree on these sorts of things, but we tried it in the name of learning for ourselves.....

We both consider ourselves corrected...

BTW...today I rubbed twice going through deep, long dips....the offset on the wheels is 42mm...running 205/45 tyres...

Oh yeah....does anyone have pics of their rear springs installed like mine above? I'm interested in how they compare to the look of the Altas....(ie. the top three coils, how many etc.....)....just interested....

tit- your alta's basically looks like linear rate springs...although it has the
3 coils up top making it look progressive, looks like it's just there to hold
the spring in place... especially when you consider that that corner is in
the air and there is little to no gap between the top 3 coils. wow.

I think it's 25%...got it done a while ago now....we don't have the same restrictions on the front windows that some countries have...

Does anyone else have pics of their rear springs with the wheel off?

Here's anoother shot of them off the car...

i rubbed couple of times today, i think i will modify my fender wells, looks like the cheapest way, or get a suspension kit later on. The funny thing is ride is better than the stock s-lites with runflats

what would be a reasonable suspension mod? there is not enough sus. travel w/h-sports on stock shocks, will be looking at something here pretty soon

berky- are you using the H-sport bumpstops that came with the kit to
provide max travel?

i would say either koni yellows, or the self adjusting one, or im also
thinking about the new Pilo coilovers as they got ~280lbs/in which imho
is perfect for street for this car.

never. the toe-in isn't enough to really wear it out unevenly. it's
wearing pretty flat. i don't do much highway miles.

My old rear settings after the Altas went in and i had the alignment done were -1.8 camber at the rear. I didn't see any undeven wear in 25000km...

I have another spring shot...

these are H&R's....they have slightly more gap between the top coils...
