Ride height ...

I'm installing these tonight and will take pictures with measurements from the ground to the fender before and after with the coilover perch set to the same height.

Then we can see if the 3/16 increase is offset by the negative camber ... which in my case will probably be around -2 degrees as I have the car set around 24.5" from the ground to the fender lip.

Great - Please comment on install ease (or not) and ride quality change also.

If you can pull the struts and compress the springs (I use 3 $4 rachet straps from Walmart), then you can do the install. It's a no brainer. There is NO change in ride quality. My car is my daily driver and has had two winters with with the plates, snow tires and no issues. The Ireland fixed plates are the answer for most of the posters on this board who actually spend little or no time on the track or autocross course.

Cheers,

fixed plates ...

... I love them. Much more grip mid turn. I actually found that at my ride height the extra negative camber basically made up for the 3/16 plate. With my coilover perches set the exact same place, I measured the same ride height---24.5 from the ground to the lip of the front fender.

Not sure how much negative camber I have, alignment coming soon and I'll post the specs.

In my opinion, these are perfect for a daily driven car. More negative camber, without any added noise or harshness.

I'm planning on installing a set of these tomorrow. I already have H-Sport springs, so no need to compress springs.
Question, Is there enough room to be able to remove the 3 top nuts and pivot the strut out of the wheel well without removing the strut completely?
Thanks,
Jim

Fraid not...you must remove the entire strut from the MINI

Yeah! Installed a couple weeks ago. The extra negative front camber really makes the car turn in much quicker. Lot more stable under hard braking, too.

Has anyone that installed these taken their car to an alignment shop to see how much negative camber they create?

Mine give 1.5 degrees neg on stock springs with Koni FSD shock on an 03 MCS. This works very well as a street track comprimise.

So would you guys recommend these for a coil-over setup? will it depend on the ride height?

Plus,
If i 'm on stock suspension setup and planning to go coil-over in near future, should I get those anyways?

The lower your setup the more negative camber you will gain.
